Sheilah is a servant leader who is passionate about creating a world where every child regardless of his/her background has equal access to quality education. Growing up in desperate poverty, Sheilah had limited access to education, even though her single mother tried to find some piece of work of selling vegetables on the roadside, her monthly income couldn’t stretch enough to provide all the needs of her six poor children including paying their school fees on time. When Sheilah got a chance to step in class, she put all her effort to learning and be the best in her class and was able to get a full bursary as the best student every term which reduced on the risk of being sent back home for school fees which increased her chances of having a brighter future through education. After successfully completing high school, Sheilah decided to dedicate her time to help children struggling in their studies to catch up in math and literacy.
Even though Sheilah’s desire together with the goal of Vijana Heavens Foundatin is to see children from their slum community thrive, all physical support in the world will leave them wanting. they introduce these children to Jesus. He is the One who holds their tomorrows in His hands and places dreams in their hearts. Through the discipleship program, Sheilah helps these children to absorb the word of God and fall in love with it through Bible opening sessions.

Maria has a first-hand look into what life is like for children and youth in disadvantaged communities. She advocates for the well-being of youth in her slum community both mentally and physically.
Born in poverty, it was very valuable and important for Maria to gain an education sponsorship since she was a little girl because it was a big support for her single mother and her family and she had high chances of fulfilling one of her dreams of becoming a nurse after studies and release herself from the cycles of poverty, but unfortunately all her hopes were put on pause when the organization that was sponsoring her education terminated the contract immediately she turned 18 years, living her without any thriving or survival skill she knows.
By volunteering at Vijana Heavens Foundation, Maria has acquired skills in leadership, teamwork and social responsibility. She is committed to paying it forward by ensuring that every youth in her community are equipped with the education and the skills they need to become self-reliant adults.
