Back to School Drive: Helping Children in Need Succeed in the Classroom

As the new school year begins, we’re excited to share with you the success of our back to school drive! After two consecutive years of lockdown, many children in our care and those from the slum community were at risk of returning to school unprepared due to lack of scholastic tools such as books, pens, and pencils, and school bags. But thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to provide over 100 children in need with free school supplies that enabled them to learn and succeed in the classroom.

Program Activities and Highlights:

Our back to school drive was a success, thanks to the support of our donors and volunteers who made it possible. We raised funds through online donations and in-person fundraising events, which enabled us to purchase and distribute school supplies to children who needed them the most.

We were able to provide each child with a backpack, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, and other necessary items for their school work. We also included a special note of encouragement to each child, reminding them that they are loved and valued and encouraging them to work hard and dream big.

One of the highlights of the back to school drive was seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and their families as they received the school supplies. Many of them had never owned a new backpack or brand new school supplies before, and they were thrilled to have the tools they needed to succeed in school. We also received feedback from teachers and school officials who noticed an improvement in the performance and engagement of the children who received the supplies.
