You are close in our work and you remain in our prayers every day. As we reflect on the past 12 months, we are reminded by the achievements we have accomplished together! I am thrilled to share that our programs in 2023, reached over 1000 children and youth in the slum communities of Nansana, Kampala, Uganda in partnership with YOU. Thank you so much for your support and generosity throughout 2023; we hope to count on YOU in 2024 to grow our ministry and expand our work in Uganda. BACK-TO-SCHOOL CHARITY DRIVE!
In the slum community where we work, thousands of poor children do not have the opportunity to receive an education due to lack of basic scholastic resources like books, pencils, pens or backpacks and shoes, leaving many children to fall behind without the support to catch up. With support from generous friends like YOU, Vijana Heavens Foundation was able to hold three successive back-to-school drives in February, June and September to make sure every disadvantaged child in our community have the tools they need to succeed in a classroom that carries hope, dreams, and endless possibilities for a brighter future.

At Vijana Heavens Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be. Through our sponsorship program, we are working to connecting poor children with compassionate adults who are in position to give these children the tools they need to grow up healthy, educated, employed and empowered to break the cycle of poverty. When YOU sponsor a child with us, your monthly gift of $40 provides a child born in poverty with access to education, nutrition, protection and medical care. We are so thankful for the 20 students who were given a chance to access quality education last year.
EASTER CELEBRATIONS!
At Vijana Heavens Foundation, we are empowering our community through feeding the hungry and disadvantaged children and youth in Kampala, Uganda. With our Nutrition program supported by kind and generous friend like YOU, we are on a mission to ensure no child goes to bed hungry. During the Easter holidays, your love and support made a profound impact on the lives of more than 300 children living in extreme poverty who couldn’t imagine where their special meal will come from. Because of YOU, we were able to dance, sing praises, play, provide nourishing meals and create that brought smiles to little children’s faces and warmth to their hearts. Thank you so much for lending a helping hand to those in need. May the spirit of Easter always inspire us all to sow seeds of love, kindness, and hope in the world.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE!
At Vijana Heavens Foundation, we believe that every child regardless of their background has a dream he/she wants to fulfill and so does Jonan, he dreams of waking up one day with the ability to stand up on his own and hold a pencil to write his name like other children born without any health complications. Thanks to your prayers and generosity, Jonan now has hope of turning his dream into reality after receiving advanced medical check-ups from a renowned hospital where he is now having physical therapy twice a week to help strength his muscles and improve his involuntary movements. Together we are breaking the barriers and creating opportunities for every child to thrive.
CHRISTMAS PARTY!
Vijana Heavens Foundation’s Christmas party is an annual end of year celebration which reminds us of the great work we do together to teach young children the gospel of Christ which encourages them to practice loving their neighbors as they love themselves which is the greatest commandment of all. Every Christmas day, we invite orphans, street children and children from poverty-stricken families so that we can enjoy a shared special meal, play and laugh together as well as give them free Christmas gifts to show them that they are loved and not forgotten. For three consecutive years of organizing this party, we have witnessed being a beacon of hope to many children without immediate family in our community to share the joy of the season. But 2023 Christmas party reached new heights and it was all because of YOUR phenomenal support. Your involvement was a cornerstone of our success. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
SHOES AND CLOTHES!
In the urban slum community where we work, kids who don’t have proper or well-fitting clothes and shoes, are looked down upon by their peers which make them to feel uncomfortable and abandoned in the society. Thanks to the support of our donors, Vijana Heavens Foundation was able to save 150 poor children in 2023 from tattered clothes and shoes. These children now walk in the community with dignity knowing that they are also protected from harm and bacterial diseases. You can donate clothes and shoes through our postal address. P.O.
